This Saturday, November 9, Trieste’s Sea Museum is offering a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the golden age of ocean liners. Curator Silvia Pinna will guide a free tour of the exhibition “The Journey into Modernity: 1924-1938 – Trieste and the Evolution of the Ocean Liner,” revealing how the city contributed significantly to the era’s advancements in naval design and luxury.

The exhibition, which examines the evolution of ocean liner design between the world wars, showcases a compelling array of period photographs, documents, advertising graphics, and ship models. These artifacts capture the spirit of an age defined by innovation and the pursuit of luxury and speed on the seas. This period saw Trieste emerge as a pivotal center for shipbuilding, helping to drive forward both aesthetic and technological shifts in liner design.

Attendance for the November 9 tour is capped at 25 people, with registration required by November 8 at noon. For more on this and other events at the Sea Museum, visit museodelmaretrieste.it.
