A new opportunity to contribute to the community is now available in Trieste. Sogit Trieste, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to emergency assistance, has announced the opening of registrations for its first aid course, set to begin next Monday at its headquarters on Via Carletti 4 in Borgo San Sergio.

The 20-hour course will take place in the evening, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM, and will include both theoretical lessons and practical exercises with mannequins and necessary equipment. The program will conclude with a written and practical exam on February 14.

Founded in Trieste in 1977, Sogit Trieste has long been an essential part of the region’s emergency response system. The organization not only provides urgent assistance to those in need but also transports patients to hospitals and care facilities for medical visits and check-ups.

Upon completing the course and passing the final exam, participants can choose to begin a rewarding volunteer role as ambulance assistants, helping with critical missions across the city and beyond.

To register, interested individuals can call Sogit Trieste at 040-63-8118 or 347-95-30-709 between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM or from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Further information is available on the Sogit Trieste website.

This initiative provides both essential life-saving skills and an opportunity to contribute to Trieste’s community by volunteering with Sogit Trieste, a well-established organization that has been serving the region for nearly 50 years.
