A long-standing tradition in the city, the historic flea market at Il Giulia shopping center will take place this weekend, on Saturday, February 1, and Sunday, February 2, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Organized by the cultural association Cose di Vecchie Case, the event has been a fixture in Trieste since 1996, drawing visitors interested in antiques, vintage collectibles, and artisanal crafts.
Held every first weekend of the month, the market features a curated selection of small antiques, retro items, and handcrafted goods. Vendors from across the region showcase objects ranging from old vinyl records and comic books to glasswork, ceramics, and lacework. The event is open to the public with free admission.
Founded in 1998, Cose di Vecchie Case has over 350 members and regularly organizes markets and cultural events in collaboration with local municipalities. The association hosts more than 100 private exhibitors, including collectors, artisans, and hobbyists.
The Il Giulia flea market continues to attract both longtime collectors and casual visitors looking for unique finds.
