A regional initiative is aiming to connect young job seekers with potential employers in an effort to strengthen ties between institutions, local businesses, and the workforce. The Recruiting Day Young event, scheduled for March 13 at Villa Dora in San Giorgio di Nogaro, will provide young professionals an opportunity to engage directly with employers in a structured setting.
The initiative, organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government with support from the Municipality of San Giorgio di Nogaro and the youth employment service Informagiovani, is designed for individuals under the age of 35. Participants will have the chance to interview with four companies actively seeking young talent: Anima Vera, Famiglia Mattiussi, Gruppo Zanutta, and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), the country’s national railway infrastructure operator.
“These initiatives are important tools for helping young people enter the job market,” said Alessia Rosolen, the region’s labor councilor, at a press conference announcing the event. “They offer a direct connection between job seekers and employers while also strengthening collaboration among institutions, local authorities, and businesses.”
The event’s structure allows each participant a 20-minute session to interview with all four companies, with five-minute discussions scheduled per employer. Organizers describe the format as a training exercise, encouraging candidates to refine their ability to present their strengths and qualifications concisely.
Among the participating companies, Anima Vera specializes in entertainment services for the tourism industry, designing and managing events for resorts, municipalities, and businesses. The company was founded over 35 years ago by entrepreneurs Antonio Alfieri and Maurizio Zamboni.
Famiglia Mattiussi, a family-run business with 60 years of experience in the hospitality sector, operates hotels and restaurants in the Bassa Friulana region, with locations in Aquileia and Villa Vicentina.
Gruppo Zanutta, one of the largest construction and home improvement firms in northeastern Italy, was founded in 1952 in Carlino, Udine. In recent years, it has expanded its presence to northwestern Italy and now operates over 50 retail locations across Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Lombardy, and Piedmont, employing more than 1,000 workers.
Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a subsidiary of the state-owned railway company Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, manages Italy’s railway infrastructure, overseeing 16,800 kilometers of track, including more than 1,000 kilometers of high-speed rail. The company employs approximately 27,000 people nationwide.
Candidates interested in participating must register online by March 10 through the regional government’s official website. Registered attendees will have the opportunity to attend a preparatory session on the same day at Villa Dora’s Edificio Liberty, where they will receive guidance on interview strategies.
Following the registration deadline, participants will be notified via email with their scheduled interview times.
The announcement event was attended by Pietro Del Frate, mayor of San Giorgio di Nogaro, as well as company representatives, including Franco Mattiussi, owner of Gruppo Mattiussi; Elena Bratta, human resources manager at Gruppo Zanutta; and Tiziana Villani, human resources manager at RFI. Officials from the regional labor department were also present.
