In an effort to address labor shortages and strengthen ties between businesses and job seekers, the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government will host a recruitment event on March 19 in San Daniele del Friuli. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Municipality of San Daniele and Manpower, an international employment agency, will bring together thirteen companies looking to fill 140 positions across various industries.

The event is part of a broader effort by regional officials to modernize Italy’s employment services and facilitate job placement. Since the beginning of the year, this will be the eleventh recruiting event organized in the region, signaling what officials describe as a shift in how public employment services interact with the private sector.

“We have strengthened support for businesses and enhanced the role of local employment centers to better match supply and demand,” said Alessia Rosolen, the regional councillor for labor, at a press conference in Udine. “This system helps companies fill their workforce needs while providing citizens with new job opportunities.”

Employers Seek Workers Across Multiple Sectors

The thirteen companies participating in the event span industries including manufacturing, automation, finance, and food production. Among them is the Consorzio del Prosciutto di San Daniele, a key player in the region’s famed cured ham industry, and PrimaCassa, a cooperative banking institution.

The positions available range from technical and production roles to administrative and managerial positions. Employers are seeking maintenance workers, machine operators, sales staff, engineers, and banking professionals.

Some of the companies and positions they are hiring for include:

  • Acciaierie Venete (Buia) – Maintenance workers and general laborers.
  • Amb (San Daniele) – Production and warehouse staff.
  • Lima Corporate-Enovis (San Daniele) – CNC machine operators and quality control specialists.
  • Pratic Spa (Fagagna) – Marketing, R&D, and commercial operations staff.
  • S.P. Automation (Buja) – Robotics programmers and automation engineers.

Application Process

Job seekers interested in participating must submit their résumés by March 11 via the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region’s website, where they can apply for one or more positions. The event will give pre-screened candidates the opportunity to meet directly with hiring managers, conduct interviews, and learn more about the companies involved.

With companies across the region citing difficulties in filling key positions, regional officials say they view these events as an important step toward bridging the gap between employers and job seekers.
