The 2025 FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships have officially opened in Tarvisio, bringing young athletes from around the world to compete at the highest junior level. The event is organized by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) with support from Friuli Venezia Giulia, PromoTurismoFVG, the Municipality of Tarvisio, and local ski clubs.
At the opening ceremony, Regional Councillor for Finance Barbara Zilli welcomed the participants, highlighting the region’s strong connection to winter sports and its investment in sports and mountain tourism. She expressed hope that the event would encourage athletes and visitors to return in the future.
The competition will take place over several days, featuring young skiers competing for international titles.
