Trieste’s Immaginario Scientifico is gearing up to celebrate Carnival in a way you’ve never experienced before — with science. On March 4 and 5, the museum will open its doors for two days of scientific experiments that blend fun, discovery, and the playful spirit of the Carnival season.

Located in Porto Vecchio’s historic Warehouse 26, the Immaginario Scientifico will operate with holiday hours (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and offer a series of special events for visitors of all ages.

While Carnival is traditionally a time for masks, parades, and pranks, this year’s celebration will feature a more educational take on the fun. Expect lively demonstrations where science takes center stage, from colorful chemical reactions to physics experiments that are sure to surprise and entertain. Behind the festive explosions of color and sound lie core scientific principles that will delight curious minds of all ages.

The museum’s special Carnival-themed events will take place on Sunday, March 2 at 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, as well as Tuesday, March 4 at 4:00 PM. These interactive activities are included in the museum’s admission price and require no reservations. Whether you’re a child or an adult, the hands-on experience will spark your curiosity and provide a fresh perspective on the magic of Carnival.

Costumes are not only encouraged but welcomed, adding to the festive atmosphere at the museum. The unique combination of entertainment and education promises a Carnival experience unlike any other.
