Braving the rain, visitors flocked to historic sites like Villa Necker and others across Friuli Venezia Giulia for Italy’s most anticipated cultural event, the Giornate FAI di Primavera. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the initiative by Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano opened 750 rarely accessible sites nationwide this weekend.

In Friuli Venezia Giulia, 20 locations in 12 municipalities welcomed the public, guided by hundreds of volunteers and student docents. Notable sites in Trieste included the Former Lloyd Triestino Palace and the MIB Trieste School of Management. Despite the weather, Italy’s cultural heritage remained the true star of the weekend.
