Filming has wrapped on La Lezione, a new drama directed by Stefano Mordini, adapted from the acclaimed novel of the same name by Marco Franzoso. The film, published by Mondadori, features a star-studded cast, including Matilda De Angelis, Stefano Accorsi, Marlon Joubert, and Eugenio Franceschini.
Written by Stefano Mordini and Luca Infascelli, the screenplay brings Franzoso’s gripping narrative to life on the big screen. La Lezione is produced by Picomedia and Vision Distribution, with collaboration from Sky, and showcases Italy’s growing cinematic prowess.
The production has been bolstered by funding from the Fund for the Development of Investments in Cinema and Audiovisual Media, supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Directorate-General for Cinema and Audiovisual. Additionally, the FVG Film Commission and PromoTurismoFVG provided critical backing for the project.
Filming took place in two of Italy’s most iconic cities, Trieste and Rome, lending the film a distinct cultural and visual richness. With its stellar cast, compelling source material, and robust production support, La Lezione is poised to capture the attention of audiences both in Italy and internationally.
