The exhibition AttraversaMenti, currently on view at the Civic Museum of the War for Peace “Diego de Henriquez,” has been extended through May 18. Originally scheduled to close on April 27, the show continues as part of a broader cultural initiative involving several historic sites across the city.

The exhibition features works by Gianni Turin, a contemporary artist from the Veneto region, whose installations reflect on the conflicts of the 20th century as well as the ongoing realities of war. His visual language is characterized by stark, minimalist compositions that aim to distill the emotional and political weight of these themes.

Organized by the Centro Studi Arte Archeologia Ambiente of the Province of Padua in collaboration with the Municipality of Trieste, the exhibition is housed in a museum known for its dedication to promoting peace and denouncing the horrors of war. Turin’s installations are intended to engage in a direct dialogue with the museum’s permanent collection, offering a contemporary counterpoint to its historical narrative.

A free guided tour led by the artist is scheduled for Thursday, May 1, at 11:30 a.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear Turin discuss his work and the themes behind it, with stops on both the ground and first floors of the museum.

The exhibition is open to the public during regular museum hours. Admission is included with the standard entry ticket.
