The so-called fried egg jellyfish were spotted by Miramare Natural Reserve early Friday morning, 4 September.

Known as cotylorhiza tuberculata, this stinging jellyfish is part of the Cassiopea family.

Although quite odd looking, the sighting of these jellyfish is common at the end of summer.
