Every September Pordenone, a gorgeous medieval city an hour and a half from Trieste, hosts an international literary feast called Pordenone Legge.

This year’s edition will have both online and live events, readings, workshops and panels from 15 September to 19 September.

Founded in 2000, the literary fest has consolidated its reputation as a go-to cultural event within and beyond the country, welcoming over 100,000 book lovers and visitors each year.

Writers, philosophers, journalists, poets and artists will come to share the love for their crafts, and engage with readers in debates around some of the world’s most pressing issues starting 15 September.

You can check out the festival’s program here.

The easiest way to get to Pordenone from Trieste is either by bus or by train.
