New FVG decree was signed late last night, 14 October, by region’s president Massimiliano Fedriga.

Yesterday, 14 October 2020, the Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government announced several new policies and regulations regarding measures to protect against the spread of the coronavirus in effect starting today, 15 October 2020.

The new ordinance extends the safety measures that were previously in place regarding the wear of face coverings at all times indoors and outdoors, unless continued isolation from non-cohabitants can be guaranteed.

The decree also extended the ban on gatherings, international travel restrictions, and the obligation to ensure the appropriate physical distance.

Moreover, the decree provided new regulations pertaining to regional schools. The new rapid saliva tests have been approved and will be offered to all students showing Covid-19 symptoms during school hours.

The updated rules state that a student with nasal congestion in the absence of fever will be allowed to go to school without taking the Covid-19 test. The same goes for muscle pains, headache and cough, as long as the student shows only one of the symptoms mentioned above.

School field trips are now prohibited, as well as pickup games, contact sports and singing classes.
