Miramare Castle is scheduled to reopen on Monday, 12 April, when Trieste and the rest of Friuli Venezia Giualia will enter the so-called orange zone.
Miramare Castle has been awarded the “best Italian museum” by a hip Italian magazine Artribune and if you haven’t already visited it we suggest you go soon.

The Miramare Castle and its grounds were closed after the Italian decree placed Trieste, along with the rest of Italy, in the red zone.
The director of the Miramare Museum, Andreina Contessa’s, said Miramare is not only a museum, but a “green area” that “should be open to public.”

“The therapeutic value of a walk on Miramare’s grounds is evident” underlined Contessa.
Miramare Castle’s gardens are free to visit daily from 8 am to 5 pm.
Miramare Castle will be reopened once our region enters the “yellow zone”.
