President Fedriga and top health officials at the beginning of the week urged an impatient Triestine public to remain vigilant against the coronavirus.
As daily cases continued to rise, younger people replaced seniors in some Friuli Venezia Giulia hospitals, and our region moved beyond the milestone of almost 100,000 cases since the outbreak began.
“We need to fight against this dangerous virus together, with a great sense of responsibility for our community. It is too early to let your guard down” commented president Fedriga.
Even as Italy’s immunization program continued to pick up speed and new research showed vaccines are highly effective in real-world conditions, PM Draghi said no region will go back to being the “yellow zone” until the end of next month.
