As the Biennale kicks off in Trieste, the city of water (and recently rain) is once again awash with talent from the international female art scene.

This year’s Triestine cultural scene is anything but boring. From the newly relocated to Porto Vecchio Immaginario Scientifico, to the novel female art collection at Museo Revoltella- there’s something for everyone. The bi-annual contemporary female art show in Porto Vecchio fits right in.

With numerous pavilions and a curated presentation of international artists, this edition of the Trieste’s Biennale, entitled Transformazioni Selenziose (silent transformations), is a cultural cacophony like no other. The best part? This year boasts a raft of female artists.

Not to mention that the curator of this year’s biennale is princess Gabriela Von Habsburg, daughter of the last emperor of Austria, and a renowned sculptress herself.
All this to say that Biennale Internazionale della Donna 2021, organized by the Councilor of Culture of Comune di Trieste and many generous sponsors, will not leave you disappointed.

Entry fee: 5 euros. The biennale can be visited Wednesday-Thursday 5 – 8 pm; Friday, Sunday 10-1 pm, 5-9 pm; Saturday 10-1 pm, 3-9 pm.
