A historical moment for the city of Trieste as Servola’s ironworks plant know in Trieste as ferriera finally began its shutting down yesterday, March 28th.
It was a truly historical and touching moment as we watched the last fumes come out from the plant that has been active in Trieste for 123 years. However, the future of the plant’s workers is still uncertain and remains to be seen.
It will take some time for the plant to fully stop working but it’s a huge step in the right direction and a time for celebration for all residents of Trieste.
