In a brief interview with our magazine, Mayor Dipiazza talked about the beauty of summer in Trieste, his hopes for the fall elections and the future of our city.
We see Trieste taking off this summer
Trieste is definitely back to life. Just the other day Trieste’s Opera Verdi theater opened its season with magnificent La Traviata, on Friday il Rossetti takes off with summer performances at Castello Miramare, San Giusto is full events – the cultural life of our city is definitely back and we love it.
Are you enjoying Trieste this season?
Absolutely, it’s wonderful to see Triestini and tourists take to the streets and spend quality time in our town. They are not the only ones, this Saturday president of Slovenia, Pahor will visit Trieste, five cruise ships will dock in our port and at 10 am the first cruise ship will dock in Porto Vecchio.
Great!
And from 5-7 August ministers from around the world will fly in to Trieste for the convention held in Miramare. The city is definitely back to life.
And fall promises to be interesting with the upcoming mayoral elections.
Definitely. I am feeling confident, but of course other candidates are all very competent and it will definitely be an election to follow.
